Tanya Burr cookies

Disclaimer - slightly burnt but still tasty...
I recently made these delicious cookies from Tanya Burr's book. I have baked and made a couple of other recipes from the cooking section of Tanya's book and wanted to make these. 

I followed the recipe for the triple chocolate cookies, but only added white chocolate instead of dark and milk chocolate as well. They are so easy to make and so yummy.


Even with an instagram filter i couldn't hide the burnt white chocolate on top!


I would also like to say how much i am liking Tanya's book. I have been subscribed to her on YouTube for many years now and when i heard that she was releasing her own book i was so excited for her. There is something in the book for everyone interested in beauty, fashion or baking.

Red lip & bare face

Whenever wearing a red lipstick i always felt that it was so bold that i needed a lot of mascara to balance everything out and pull the look together. I also always felt i looked strange with a red lip and no eye makeup because it went from one extent to another.

However, today i tried on a new lipstick and lip liner that i recently got (MAC Cherry lip pencil and MAC Russian Red lipstick) without any makeup on the rest of my face just to see what the lipstick was like on. Before putting on the lipstick i had just plucked my eyebrows and put some brow gel through my brows to keep them in place. With no makeup on my eyes or face i wasn't expecting to like the look - i just wanted to see and feel what the lipstick was like to wear. However, i actually really liked the bold lip against nothing else on my face. A few months ago i would 100% hate this look because i wanted to make my makeup perfect to how i knew i liked it, but recently I've been enjoying experimenting more, and i may even wear this look soon if I'm feeling brave!

New favourite drugstore foundation

I wanted to try this foundation after hearing some amazing reviews of it. 
The L'Oreal Paris infallible 24hr matte foundation really does live up to its name. I have combination skin so keeping my T zone matte throughout the day can sometimes be tricky depending on what foundation or BB cream i use.

I love this foundation because it gives a medium coverage without feeling heavy at all. Once applied its matte almost immediately meaning its so easy to continue with the rest of your face makeup. The foundation feels so soft on the skin and doesn't feel like theres a layer of foundation there. 

I went for the shade 12 natural rose which is a really good colour match for me.


Ive had a little break from blogging recently as its been my birthday and i normally schedule posts to go up. I will be back to this routine fairly shortly.

Healthy food & drink snacks


Im not the healthiest person, but I try to eat healthier options when I can.

Snacks are really important throughout the day when you are feeling a little bit peckish between meal times. 

Healthier snacks such as fruit and cereal bars can give short releasing energy which will make you feel more awake, energetic, motivated and able to concentrate for longer.

Sugary snacks such as chocolate bars and energy drinks will give a quick fix of energy but will only last a short amount of time and will leave you feeling unmotivated and usually more tired than before. 

Below are some snacks that I enjoy eating. I haven't included pictures of all of the snacks that I enjoy as I don't have them at the minute to take a picture of. But they include; nuts, dried fruit, 100% fruit juices and others.

I also love drinking coffee throughout the day, especially at college as I find a hit of caffeine can make me feel more awake for a while and I also really enjoy drinking it.
